Calahonda itself has a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops and fine beaches.

During the winter months, the proximity of the ski slopes at the Sierra Nevada and the mild climate of the Costa del Sol mean that it is not unknown for some visitors to ski in the morning and swim in the sea in the afternoon!
